Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Nyrt. (MOL.BU) doesn't plan large acquisitions in the next few years following the purchasing a 47.15% in Croatian oil and gas arm company INA (INA.ZG), Chief Executive Zsolt Hernadi told German daily Handelsblatt in an interview.

"There's a lot to do at INA; I don't see major other investments in the next few years," Hernadi is quoted as saying in the newspaper's Tuesday edition.

Hernadi further said the European Union needs to find an accord with Russia as a gas supplier and should "pursue a clear energy policy for central Europe".

New pipelines and gas sources are needed to increase Europe's security of supply, the newspaper cites Hernadi as saying.

He added that Iran will "sooner or later" be a gas supplier for Europe.
