Changes to French regulated natural gas tariffs are still being calculated, a spokesman for the French Finance Ministry said Monday.

Regulated natural gas tariffs are revised every three months in
France according to a formula that takes into account changes in crude oil prices, among other factors.

After remaining unchanged in January, the next revision is due April 1, the spokesman noted.

French daily Le Figaro reported Monday that the price of natural gas in
France could rise 9% on April 1 if the formula used to regulate gas tariffs is applied mechanically and without any government intervention.
