Russian oil major OAO Gazprom Neft (SIBN.RS) will pay no less than 15% of its net profit under U.S. GAAP standards in dividends, the company said Tuesday following a board meeting.

The decision will formalize the company's dividend policy, Gazprom Neft said in a statement.

Gazprom Neft, 96%-owned by state-controlled gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), paid 5.4 rubles ($0.18) per ordinary share in dividends for 2008.
