Brazilian state-run energy giant Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PBR), or Petrobras, plans to expand its exploration activities in Angola , reported state news agency Angola Press.

The company's intention was unveiled during an official meeting between Petrobras' Chief Executive Officer Jose Sergio Gabrielli and
Angola 's President Jose Eduardo dos Santos , according to Angola Press.

The news agency, however, did not unveil details of Petrobras' expansion plans.

According to the company's Web site, it operates in
Angola through exploration and production agreements, with shares in six offshore blocks, one in production and the other five in the exploration phase.
