Turkey 's privatization agency OIB said Friday it will hold a final tender for the privatization of Ankara-based natural gas distributor Baskent Dogalgaz, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.

The Turkish government is selling a 80% stake in Baskent Dogalgaz.

OIB previously said seven bids have been received for the privatization tender of Baskent Dogalgaz.

The bidders include Aksa Dogalgaz, a unit of Turkish energy producer Kazanci Holding, Turkish construction firm Akfen Holding AS, and MMEKA Makina Ithalat Pazarlama ve Ticaret AS, which secured the country's largest grid Bogazici power distribution grid and Gediz power grid, offering a total of $4.91 billion in a privatization tender Aug. 9.

Turkey previously held a tender for Baskent Dogalgaz in March 2008. Turkish investment firm Global Yatirim Holding (GLYHO.IS) and natural gas engineering firm Energaz submitted the highest bid of $1.61 billion in the tender. However, the sale process was cancelled as the companies couldn't meet their commitments.
