Total sales of oil products in Germany rose 7.3% in July on the year-earlier period to 6.59 million metric tons, according to provisional data from industry group MWV Monday.

Heating oil sales rose 24% on year to 1.48 million tons. Germany is northwest Europe 's largest market for heating gasoil.

Total sales of diesel rose 3.9% on year to 2.88 million tons.
