The European Commission will look at a Polish agreement with Russia about natural gas supply Thursday and is confident that it meets European Union requirements, the EU energy chief said Wednesday.

"There are grounds for confidence here because both sides have taken into account" the EU concerns, Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger said during the press conference.
