State-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp., or KPC, Thursday resumed oil exports after they were halted due to bad weather conditions a day earlier, state-run Kuwait News Agency, or Kuna, reports citing an official.

Export activities and maintenance works in the refineries of Kuwait National Petroleum Co. also restarted, the news agency reports, citing Sheik Talal Al Sabah, managing director for public and media relations at KPC.

Kuwait Port Authority said, according to Kuna, that shipping traffic resumed Thursday morning at local ports after a stoppage of 24 hours due to the sandstorm that hit the country Wednesday.
