BP PLC's (BP) partners in the Anglo-Russian oil joint venture TNK-BP Ltd. Tuesday indicated that a sale of their 50% stake in the company is possible, saying they have still to receive an "interesting proposal" from any buyer, the BBC reports.

Viktor Vekselberg--a shareholder in the Alfa-Access-Renova, or AAR, consortium which owns 50% in TNK-BP--told the BBC he is "very upset" with BP's decision to strike a deal with state-controlled oil producer OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS), and that selling his stake in TNK-BP "means you sell a piece of your life."

Vekselberg Monday said
AAR is preparing new law suits against BP for violating the TNK-BP shareholder agreement.

"It is a fact that we, as shareholders of TNK-BP, have suffered certain losses," he told Ekho Moskvy radio station.

"At present, we are very seriously studying this issue and, I believe, that we will submit corresponding lawsuits in
Russia and abroad," Vekselberg said.
