Gulf states Saudi Arabia , Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates plan to unilaterally raise their production to meet increased demand, despite OPEC's inability to act collectively, a Gulf delegate said Wednesday.

"
Saudi Arabia , Kuwait , and UAE will each raise their output to meet demand regardless of OPEC's status quo," a Gulf delegate said shortly after OPEC leaders said they had failed to reach consensus on an agreement to boost output.

OPEC officials said Wednesday the group would leave its output unchanged after members failed to sanction a move by led by the three
Gulf states to boost output by 1-1.5 million barrels a day.

Gulf states and Saudi Arabia had been expected to boost output unilaterally if OPEC failed to reach agreement.
