Iran Monday reportedly denied Indian statements that Turkey had a role in the resolution of an oil payments row.

The news comes after the Islamic Republic confirmed Sunday that it had found a way to receive $5 billion of outstanding oil-purchase bills from
India .

In remarks to
Iran 's Mehr news agency, Iran 's Central Bank Governor Mahmoud Bahmani said " Turkey has no part in solving India 's oil payment.

"
Iran will solve the problem of oil payment by itself," he said in a news item carried through Mehr's partner, Azerbaijani news agency Trend.

Iran hasn't provided details so far about the payments mechanism used for India crude sales.

The seven-month-long dispute with
Iran 's second-largest oil customer stemmed from the blocking of a payments clearing system due to sanctions and had led, last month, to threats of stopping crude supplies to India .
