The French market regulator Tuesday said it has authorized French state-controlled power company Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) to delist the shares of renewable energy company EDF Energies Nouvelles (EEN.FR) on Aug. 16.

Electricite de France secured a 96.71% stake in EDF Energies Nouvelles through a public tender offer in June.

EDF had offered EUR40 a share for EDF Energies Nouvelles and will pay EUR40 to any investors who still hold shares.

Trading of EDF Energies Nouvelles shares will be suspended until Aug. 16.
