Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) CEO Fulvio Conti said the company is open to issuing new debt in dollars should the opportunity arise.

"If we need to issue more dollar debt, we would do it," saying the company will be looking for such an opportunity in the future.

European non-financial companies are generally rich with cash, meaning they have had little need to issue new bonds amid market volatility due to the euro-zone sovereign debt crisis.
