French power engineering and train company Alstom SA (ALO.FR) Tuesday said it has agreed with American Electric Power Co. Inc. (AEP) to supply equipment worth EUR110 million to upgrade the turbines of the U.S. company's coal-fired power plants.

The agreement includes the upgrade of seven power plants in
Ohio , Indiana and West Virginia with a total installed capacity of 1,300 megawatts.

At 1221 GMT, Alstom shares were down 7.3%, while the CAC-40 benchmark index was down 3.3%.
