Austrian oil and gas firm OMV AG (OMV.VI) is still aiming to produce 350,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day by 2016, Executive Board Member Jaap Huijskes said Wednesday.

However "if something significant happens in
Libya between now and 2016, that will have an impact," said Huijskes, who is responsible for OMV's exploration and production division.

Huijskes said he remains confident that production in
Yemen would also return.

Before unrest broke out in the country, OMV saw about 10% of its production in
Libya , and current output is at about 85% of its pre-crisis levels, said OMV earlier Wednesday upon release of its first-quarter results.

In
Yemen , Huijskes said, "production will come back very quickly," and continued that the company is working with the government there to restore a damaged export pipeline, not owned by OMV.
