Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW.MI) said Tueday it has started operating two new plants--a wind farm and a photovoltaic plant--in Greece 's Peloponnese region.

"Thanks to these new power plants Enel Green Power's total installed capacity in
Greece will reach 228 megawatt," the company said.

The wind farm is spread across Chlogos and Profitis Elias areas in north-eastean Peloponnes and named after the nearby city of
Corinth . It is expected to produce 57 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually.

The photovoltaic plant, named Kourtesi II, is in the Ilia region. It has an installed capacity of 4.8 MW and is expected to generate approximately 6.15 million kWh annually.
