First Solar Inc. (FSLR) is planning to expand in India , developing solar farms to meet the nation's increasing need for energy, Bloomberg reports Thursday.

Sujoy Ghosh, the company's India head, said First Solar is targeting a 20% share of the market for India 's photovoltaic sales, the report said. First Solar also thinks building plants and selling power is a better strategy than competing with Chinese companies on panel sales, Bloomberg said.
