OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) has agreed to continue buying natural gas from OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS), canceling an earlier decision to suspend purchases, a spokesman for Lukoil said Monday.

Earlier Monday, Gazprom said it was stopping purchases from independent producers, including Lukoil, citing unstable demand for gas on the domestic market.

The purchases of gas will continue under the same conditions and at the same volumes as before, the Lukoil spokesman said.

A Gazprom spokesman said he had no immediate comment on Lukoil's statement.
