Danish Vestas Wind Systems A/S (VWS.KO), the world's largest maker of wind turbines, said Tuesday it has secured a contract for the delivery of 34 wind turbines, or a total electricity output capacity of 68 megawatts, for a U.K. wind farm project.

Vestas said it has received a firm and unconditional order for 34 V90-2.0 MW wind turbines for the Keadby Wind Farm project near
Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire .

The contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a VestasOnline(R) Business SCADA solution and a five-year service agreement.

Installation of the first turbines is scheduled to start during the summer of 2013 and the project is expected to be completed by summer 2014.

The Keadby Wind Farm project is wholly-owned by U.K.-based renewable power and gas company SSE PLC.
