Yemen 's Petroleum Exploration and Production Authority, or PEPA, expects about 70 trillion cubic feet of possible reserves of natural gas in the country's exploratory and opened blocks, pan-Arab daily Al Hayat reports Tuesday.

Discoveries in seven blocks, that are being evaluated now, indicate the existence of gas reserves in good quantities, Adel Al Hazmi, PEPA's general manager for exploration, said according to the newspaper.

Yemen are currently at 18.28 trillion cubic feet, 14.7 trillion of which are in block 18 in Marib, the daily cites Mr. Hazmi as saying.
