Jordan Petroleum Refinery Co., or JPRC, has issued tenders to buy a total of 830,000 metric tons of various oil products, the company said on its website Wednesday.

JPRC has set March 5 as the closing date for receiving offers from interested companies.

The refinery, located around 25 kilometers from the capital Amman, wants to buy 500,000 tons of gas oil, 210,000 tons of fuel oil and some 120,000 tons of unleaded gasoline, with delivery starting in April and finishing in June.

Jordan imports nearly all of its oil needs, of just over 100,000 barrels a day.
