The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries isn't likely to discuss individual countries' production quotas at its upcoming meeting in Vienna in May, OPEC Secretary General Abdullah el-Badri said on the sidelines of a conference Thursday.

"I don't expect anything abnormal to happen that will change our decision that we took last time," he said. "What we are doing is working and working beautifully."

Mr. el-Badri also said that the producer group would discuss and approve criteria for the selection of a new secretary general at its May meeting. Selection for the position will take place in December, he said, adding that to his knowledge the candidates remain unchanged.
