China 's General Administration of Customs confirmed Tuesday that April crude-oil imports totaled 23.08 million metric tons, equivalent to 5.6 million barrels a day, up 3.7% from a year earlier.

China imported 1.53 million tons of crude from Iran in April, down 4.3% compared with the corresponding month last year.

China didn't import a significant amount of gasoline in April.

Diesel imports rose 44.8% to 50,925 tons, while diesel exports rose 366.0% to 339,938 tons, the data showed.

Kerosene imports rose 85.9% to 693,342 tons, while fuel oil imports were up 6.5% at 2.37 million tons.
