Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW.MI), one of Europe 's biggest renewable energy companies by market value, Monday said it won two wind power contracts in Mexico worth a combined $485 million as it expands in countries with strong economic growth.

In a statement, Enel Green Power said it signed two long-term power purchase agreements with automotive supplier Delphi Automotive PLC and Mexican bank Banamex, a unit of Citigroup Inc. (C)

The energy sold will come from the Dominica 100 megawatts wind farm that Enel Green Power will start building in the coming months in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi, with an initial investment of $196 million, it said.

The Rome-based company is controlled by Enel SpA (ENEL.MI) and runs renewables plants in
Latin America with a total installed capacity of 990MW.
