Iberdrola SA (IBE.MC) Wednesday reported a 14.6% rise in
second-quarter net profit compared with the same quarter a year ago, bolstered
by lower operating and financing costs.
MAIN FACTS:
- Net
profit was EUR848.8 million ($1,120 million) up from EUR740.8 million in the
second quarter of 2012.
- Revenue was EUR7.61 billion in the second quarter compared with EUR7.66
billion a year ago.
- Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were EUR1.77
billion up from EUR1.72 billion.
- Employee count at the end of the first half was 30,583, down from 31,779 a
year ago.
