Total SA (TOT, FP.FR) Monday said its current senior vice president for the Middle East, Arnaud Breuillac, will be appointed as president for the group's exploration and production business from Jan. 1st.

Mr. Breuillac, 54, will report to Total's current president for the upstream division, Yves-Louis Darricarrere. He will join the group's executive committee on Oct. 1st next year, Total also said.

The move is another step in the French oil major's reorganization of its management structure, as it seeks to match the corporate governance of its peers and be more transparent with investors. The group recently confirmed its decision to move part of its treasury activities as well as its financial communication department from Paris to London , in a bid to get better access to London analysts and financial markets.
