The Congress will be held under the auspices of the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, the Ministry of Energy and Energy Sources, the Ministry of Environment and Waters, the Energy Efficiency Agency, UNEP/SEFI Sustainable Energy Finance Initiative and Dr. Hermann Scheer, General Chairman of World Council for Renewable Energy
Goals:
The Congress aims at the promotion and dissemination of know-how and best practices from the Member States among Bulgarian and Balkan business representatives. Its main goal is to network high level international and local speakers sharing their experience with the business society in the region as well as to promote international export companies offering RE products and technologies.
The event will showcase the successfully implemented examples, various financing tools and best ways of using the existing renewable energy potential in order to protect the environment thus contributing to the social welfare and companies competitiveness.

The Congress will be attended by key players from the private and public sectors at national, regional and international level, including global institutions, government and municipality representatives, decision makers, project developers, property managers, energy efficiency experts, investors, architects, engineers, ESCOs, financial institutions, venture capital companies, academia, installation companies, equipment manufacturers, policy makers in the energy, construction and other industry sectors interested to be energy independent and to save the energy consumption in their production areas.

The international policies in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, financial schemes and instruments for promotion and implementation of RES in the Region. How to establish financially attractive market and find financing for our projects?; EE in industrial sectors; EE in construction, EE in municipalities, rehabilitation of buildings; RES and Opportunities and barriers in the region: present status and tendencies in the development of RES: a) wind b) sun c) water d) bio-mass e) geothermal sources, etc. Parallel to the Congress will be held a specialised exhibition and poster session.
