Iran will raise crude oil exports by more than 1 million barrels a day by March 2010, Iran's English-language satellite channel Press TV reported Friday, citing the country's oil minister.
" Iran's oil export level will be raised to 3.5 million barrels a day from the current 2.4 million barrels a day by the end of the current development plan," Gholam Hossein Nozari said, according to Press TV.
Iran is currently undergoing its fourth five-year plan for development, which will end in March 2010.
Nozari denied that Iran will be unable to export oil because of high internal oil consumption, Press TV said.
