Algeria-based Sonatrach's fully-owned unit Hyproc Shipping Co. signed an agreement with Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries for the construction of two liquefied petroleum gas, or LPG, carriers, Algeria official news agency, Agence Presse Service, reported Wednesday.
The acquisition of the two LPG carriers, which will have a capacity of 35,000 cubic meters each, is part of Hyproc's modernization plans of its hydrocarbon ships, Sonatrach, the country's state-owned energy company said, the agency reported.
