Iran's export price for a barrel of crude oil was $103.20 on Wednesday, Sept. 3, the oil ministry's official Shana Web site reported Saturday, citing the National Iranian Oil Co.'s office of international affairs.
This marks a fall in the export price for a barrel of Iranian crude from $108.22 on Monday, Sept. 1, according to Dow Jones calculations.
Iran's daily oil export price is published with a 48-hour delay, according to previous Shana reports.
Shana also reported a decline in the price of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries' basket of crude oil to $103.64 a barrel on Thursday, Sept. 4 from $103.69 a barrel from Wednesday, Sept. 3, citing OPEC Secretariat calculations.
OPEC's daily basket price is published with a 24-hour delay and is the reference price for OPEC members, the report said.
The new OPEC Reference Basket (ORB) in place as of Sept. 10, 2007, consists of Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Minas (Indonesia), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basra Light (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Qatar Marine (Qatar), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (United Arab Emirates) and BCF 17 (Venezuela), Shana said.
Iran is OPEC's second largest oil producer after Saudi Arabia.
