Iran's oil minister said Tuesday Iran wouldn't independently change its oil production level to impact falling crude prices, the oil ministry's official Shana news Web site reported Tuesday.
"Iran will act based on OPEC's decision," Gholam Hossein Nozari said, commenting on whether Iran would reduce its output in order to affect prices, Shana reported.
The Iranian oil minister is currently attending the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries ministerial meeting in Vienna, which is scheduled for the evening of Sept. 9.
"Iran's production capacity is more than the amount it currently produces," Nozari said when asked if the Islamic republic had increased oil production in August, Shana reported.
