China National Petroleum Corp., the country's largest crude producer by output, recently signed a framework agreement with Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunaiGaz to expand cooperation in natural gas supply and the implementation of a gas pipeline project, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday.
The two parties aim to expand cooperation of a project on the second section of the Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline, which is designed to supply 10 billion cubic meters of gas annually, the report said, without elaborating.
The two companies also agreed to expand the first section of the gas pipeline as needed, the report said.
