Russia's OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) expects revenue from European gas sales to fall at least 30% in 2009, the Vedomosti business daily reported Monday, citing an unnamed manager at the state-owned monopoly.
The drop is due to warm weather and the decline in global oil prices, which are used to calculate European selling prices with a six-month lag.
Gazprom still plans to sell 165 billion cubic meters of gas to European nations, its most profitable business region, 2.5% more than this year's plan.
