Russia could resume delivery of natural gas to Europe on Friday if an agreement were signed allowing independent monitors to verify the flow, Interfax news agency quoted the head of OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) as saying.
"We are counting on the protocol being signed today...and then we will literally immediately resume delivery," the agency quoted Gazprom chief executive Alexei Miller as saying.
