Iran hasn't received a request from Turkey to increase gas exports but the Islamic republic can raise gas deliveries to 30 million cubic meters a day if requested to do so, the daily Hamshahri newspaper reports Monday.

"A request from Turkey has still not been made to the relevant authorities," Hamshahri cites Seyyed Reza Kasaeizadeh, the head of National Iranian Gas Exporting Company.

Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler said last week that Russian gas deliveries to Turkey from a western pipeline that passes via Ukraine have been entirely halted after Russia's OAO Gazprom's (GAZP.RS) decision to cut gas supplies to Ukraine, according to Turkish media reports.
