EU Barroso: Putin Must Voice "Disappointment" Over Gas Row
BRUSSELS (AFP)--European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso called Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to express the "European Union's disappointment" at the weak flow of Russian gas via Ukraine to the bloc, an aide said.
The head of the E.U.'s executive arm also voiced Europe's "concerns" about difficulties that European gas flow monitors are having doing their work in Russia and Ukraine.
The European Commission has lamented that they don't have full access to key points in the gas network that is supposed to deliver Russian gas through Ukraine to the E.U.
