ANKARA (Dow Jones)--Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler will travel to Russia late Tuesday, an official from the Turkish Energy Ministry told Ihlas News Agency, or IHA.
The official didn't specify whether the visit is about the latest gas crisis between Russia and Ukraine that effected many countries including Turkey.
Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler said last week that Russian gas deliveries to Turkey from a western pipeline that passes via Ukraine had been entirely halted after Russian natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom's (GAZP.RS) decision to cut gas supplies to Ukraine.
Gazprom earlier Tuesday ordered a resumption of gas supplies to Europe after Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement Monday.
Meanwhile, a senior official from the Turkish state pipeline, gas and oil company Botas said Tuesday that Russian gas deliveries from the western pipeline would arrive in Turkey Thursday
