NOVO OGAREVO, Russia (AFP)--Ukraine has taken European countries "hostage" in its dispute with Russia over gas, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Wednesday.
"Our European partners really have become hostage to the dispute between Russia and Ukraine. No country has the right to take other countries hostage taking advantage of their transit role," Putin said at a meeting with Bulgaria, Moldova and Slovakia's prime ministers.
