Kazakhstan Ups Gas Transit Tariff For Gazprom 21.4%

Kazakhstan has increased the gas transit tariff for Russian natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) to $1.70 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas per 100 kilometers from $1.40 currently, Sauat Mynbayev, Kazakhstan's minister of energy and mineral resources, said Wednesday, news agency Prime-Tass reported.
Kazakhstan has increased the gas transit tariff for Russian natural gas monopoly OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) to $1.70 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas per 100 kilometers from $1.40 currently, Sauat Mynbayev, Kazakhstan's minister of energy and mineral resources, said Wednesday, news agency Prime-Tass reported.

The agreement was concluded with Gazprom on Dec. 31, 2008, Mynbayev said.

Under the agreement, Gazprom will supply 4.6 billion cubic meters of gas to Kazakhstan in 2009, Mynbayev also said.
