Bulgaria is going to receive natural gas from Azerbaijan in the volume of 1 B cubic meters per year, the Bulgarian information agency BGNES reported citing the Bulgarian Cabinet Press Center.
The delivery was negotiated Monday during a meeting between the Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Alyiev. The delivery of Azerbaijani gas could begin as early as 2010.Next week the Bulgarian gas company "Bulgargaz" is scheduled to begin negotiations with the Azerbaijani gas company to determine the exact details of the agreement.
