Russia produced an average of 9.70 million barrels a day of crude oil and condensate in January, the Interfax news agency reported Monday, citing Ministry of Industry and Energy statistics.
Russia produced an average of 9.70 million barrels a day of crude oil and condensate in January, the Interfax news agency reported Monday, citing Ministry of Industry and Energy statistics.

Interfax cited data from the TsDU-TEK department of the Industry and Energy Ministry as saying that the country produced 41,008 million metric tons of oil in January. That is down 0.9% on year, continuing the negative on-year trend Russia has seen since March last year.

Russia's overall oil output in 2008 totaled 488.105 million tons, averaging 9.78 million barrels a day. That was up 0.9% on the previous year's figure.
