Russian natural gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) has filed a complaint with Hungarian authorities against Hungarian utility EMFESZ over its allegedly illegal gas imports from Ukraine, the Prime-Tass news agency reported Thursday, citing a Hungarian newspaper.

It wasn't clear if the gas involved belonged to Gazprom or some other company.

The report comes after a Russian-Ukrainian row over gas supplies. Gazprom stopped supplying gas to Ukrainian consumers on Jan. 1 due to a dispute over prices and Naftogaz Ukrainy's debt for gas supplies. Subsequently, Gazprom also halted gas transit through Ukraine to Europe after accusing Naftogaz Ukrainy of stealing gas.

The row was resolved in late January, when gas transit was resumed.
