Eni Starts Production Of The Oyo Oil Field In Offshore Nigeria

Eni SpA (E), Italy's biggest energy company by market value, Tuesday said it has started, with its partners, production at the Oyo oil field offshore Nigeria, which can initially produce about 25,000 barrels a day.

In a statement, Eni said it has a 40% interest in the field, while Allied Energy PLC owns 57.5% and Camac the remaining 2.5%.

The Oyo field is located about 75 kilometers off the Nigerian coast, in the Niger Delta.

Eni said its equity production this year in Nigeria averaged 130,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day.
