Russian gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) plans to further strengthen its cooperation with German companies in upstream and downstream energy projects, the company said Thursday following talks with German Economics Minister Rainer Bruederle.

cooperation with German companies in upstream and downstream energy projects,
the company said Thursday following talks with German Economics Minister Rainer
Bruederle.
Gazprom will work together with German energy companies "in new promising
projects covering the whole production cycle from extraction to marketing of
end-products," the company said. Gazprom's Chief Executive Alexei Miller
met with Bruederle in
Moscow
for
talks Thursday.
Germany
is a
major importer of Russian gas. German companies E.ON Ruhrgas AG and Wintershall
Holding AG are shareholders in the Nord Stream project - a pipeline, which is
planned to ship up to 55 billion cubic meters of gas a year from
Russia
to
Germany
under
the
Baltic Sea
