Turkey expects to renew an agreement on a pipeline that carries Iraqi crude oil from the city of Kirkuk to the Turkish port of Ceyhan, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Tuesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.

to extend the agreement by 15-20 years, he said.
The 970-kilometer pipeline carries about 480,000-560,000 barrels of oil a day

Iraq

northern fields near
Kirkuk
to
Turkey
's
Mediterranean
port
of
Ceyhan
.
Oil flow from the pipeline has often been suspended due to sabotages by
insurgents
