Production of shale gas poses a threat to Russian gas giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), the country's Natural Resource Minister Yuri Trutnev said Monday.
"We have a problem with shale gas. This is not only my position, but also the position of Gazprom's management," Trutnev said.
The United States last year overtook Russia as the world's top gas producer, as output of shale gas surged.
