South Korean multinational Samsung has finished a EUR 100 million solar park in Slobozia, Giurgiu county, southern Romania.
The project, controlled by Samsung indirectly, has a capacity of 45 MW and covers an area of some 112.5 hectares, according to local business daily Ziarul Financiar.
The Romanian media carried reports about a potential project at the end of last year.At that time, the ambassador for energy and resources at the South Korean ministry for foreign affairs and commerce, Park Robyug, revealed Samsung was analyzing locations for developing solar projects.
