Serbian Energy Min Says Unreformed Srbijagas Slowing Down Project for Gas Link with Bulgaria

The lack of reforms at Serbian state-owned gas monopoly Srbijagas is slowing down the project for the construction of a gas interconnector to Bulgaria, Serbian energy minister Zorana Mihajlovic said.

The situation at Srbijagas is posing a threat to Serbia's energy security and the consumers and the state as a whole are suffering because the company is not being reformed, Mihajlovic said in an address she delivered at an energy summit in Belgrade.
Last month, the Bulgarian economy and energy ministry said the180 kilometre Nis-Dimitrovgrad-Sofia bi-directional pipeline was expected to go live in 2017.
