Romania's power grid operatorTranselectrica [BSE:TEL] said on Wednesday it has signed a contract worth 81.4 million lei ($25.2 million/18.5 million euro) for the construction of a power interconnection line with Serbia.

The 400-kilovolt line, which will link Romania’s Resita and the Serbian town of Pancevo, will have a total length of 131 kilometres, of which 63 kiliometres will be in Romania, Transelectrica said in a statement.

Transelectrica did not name the contractor.

The line is estimated to be put into operation in 2015, it added.

The value of the contract does not include value added tax.
