Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Krsko has awarded contracts for
turbine repair services worth a total of 1.3 million euro ($1.6 million) to two
Croatian companies, notices published in the European Union’s procurement
journal indicated on Friday.
NPP Krsko awarded an 840,500 euro contract
for turbine works to Alstom Hrvatska, a notice of the Tenders Electronic Daily
(TED) showed.
Croatia’s Koncar Generatori i Motori won a 463,700 euro
contract for maintenance and repair services of machinery.
Both contracts
are with value added taxes excluded.
Krsko was built in Slovenia near the
border with Croatia in the 1970s when the two countries were still part of
former Yugoslavia. The two neighbours share the power plant's output.
